Bred with Heart, Raised with Purpose
Based in Southwest Missouri, we are a family-run Australian Labradoodle program dedicated to raising puppies the right way - with love, intention, and a whole lot of care from day one.
Our Program
From the moment our puppies are born, they are loved, nurtured, and treated as part of our family. But raising great dogs takes more than love — it takes a thoughtful, structured approach to early development. Here's what sets our program apart:
Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)
Within the first days of life, we begin ENS, which is a series of gentle exercises designed to stimulate the brain during its most critical growth window. This process helps puppies build more neurological connections early on, resulting in more resilient, adaptable adult dogs.

Puppy Culture Protocols
We follow many of the Puppy Culture protocols around manding and socialization, helping puppies develop the emotional and behavioral foundation they need to thrive in a home environment.

Early Potty Training
Potty training begins at five weeks old. By the time puppies are ready to go home at eight weeks, most have already mastered using a designated spot — making the transition to your home significantly easier.

Desensitization & Socialization
We work intentionally to expose puppies to the sights, sounds, and situations that can make dogs fearful later in life. Raising puppies in a home environment means they arrive at your door already comfortable with real-life living.

Everything we do is designed to set your puppy up for success not just in their first weeks with you, but for a lifetime.
Our Story
Daniel and Mariah are high school sweethearts who built their life together around shared goals and big dreams. Daniel works as a lineman for an electric company and brings a background in Agriculture, Business, and Animal Science to everything he does. Mariah is a nurse by trade, but these days she spends most of her time doing what she loves most — being a mom and raising puppies.
Our sister-in-law, Sadie, first introduced us to the Australian Labradoodle breed through her beloved dog, Moose. Watching Moose's unwavering loyalty to Sadie, his gentle temperament, remarkable ability to read a room, and his intuitive, therapeutic nature left a lasting impression on me. It didn't take long for us to realize that we wanted to share dogs like Moose with other families.
Together, we fell in love with Australian Labradoodles for the same reasons so many families do: their calm temperament, adaptability, and the kind of unconditional love that makes any house feel more like a home. At West Haven, every puppy is raised as part of the family — because to us, they are.
About the Breed
Australian Labradoodles were originally developed in the 1980s with a very specific purpose in mind — to create a dog ideally suited for therapy and service work. The breed was pioneered by Wally Conran of the Royal Guide Dogs Association in Victoria, Australia, and was intentionally designed to be allergy and asthma friendly.
The Australian Labradoodle is a thoughtful blend of three remarkable breeds: the Labrador Retriever, the English Cocker Spaniel, and the Standard Poodle. Our dogs are direct descendants of those original lines — a heritage we take great pride in preserving.
What truly sets the breed apart is their temperament and soundness. They are sociable, intuitive, easy to train, and deeply loyal — making them one of the best additions to a family at any stage of life.
